After some struggle due to lack of enough knowledge about blogging thing (php and cms-wise), here I am writing my first post proudly at last. I’m not sure what would be the proper first post, so I decided to share my excitement of making things this far. During preparation stage, I visited so many “how to blog” sites and most of them discouraged me unexpectedly. So many tips, different jargon, various blogging aims etc… It gave me the feeling that people makes blogs in order to compete, not share their story, interests and so on in the first place. But now, I think it is not as scary as it sounds and it is fun actually.

Congrats on your new blog! Am I your first comment? Hehe… Anyway don’t get discouraged by the things you read about. Just start writing, and visiting other blogs to make friends. It IS fun!
It’s just that some people are trying to make a side income from blogging, so they are very concerned with web traffic and all those technical stuff.
Btw you got a really cool looking design here

I sympathize completely. ;o) I am, as the blog name implies, at the end of a 3-week hot spell (95-104) in Kansas. The heat and humidity don’t do a thing for my energy level, either. My posts tend to be long (I find it hard to be a curmudgeon in a small number of words) so I have decided to settle for an entry every other day. I have tried this before and the daily part finally wore me down. Even with the heat, I have managed to get numbers 1,2, and 3 posted and I have 20-odd ideas saved away as draft posts. So far, so good.
I like your style and hope that you can stay with it. After a while, it becomes a habit and is not longer as difficult hang in there!
